EyeSight^®Advanced Driver Assist System

The latest generation of this award-winning active safety system is standard on the Legacy GT. The system utilizes two cameras to monitor activity on the road ahead, help identify potential danger and provide assistance to the driver when needed most. A third wide-angle mono camera allows the system to be even more effective. EyeSight^® incorporates numerous advanced active safety systems in one: Pre-collision Braking, Pre-collision Brake Assist, Pre-collision Throttle Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centring Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Sway Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Lead Vehicle Start Alert. Emergency Automatic Steering helps you avoid collisions by providing automatic steering and pre-collision braking assistance.

Rearview Camera with dynamic guide lines

When you select reverse, this camera projects an image of what’s behind the Legacy onto the centre console screen. The rearview camera is located close to the centre of the vehicle and captures a wide view to ensure a more natural image that’s free of distortion. The useful dynamic guide lines show the driver which direction to turn the steering wheel, making the act of reversing easier than ever.

Vehicle Dynamics Control system (VDC)

The standard VDC^† system is equipped with advanced sensors to monitor and analyze if the vehicle is following the driver’s intended course. When the limits of stability are approached, the system automatically adjusts the AWD torque distribution, engine output and brakes at each wheel to help the driver take corrective action.

^† VDC is also known as electronic stability control.
