full-time AWD is the most efficient and safest solution for all conditions. The system is particularly effective in unpredictable conditions when an immediate reaction is required.

X-MODE^®

The 2023 Subaru Outback comes equipped with one of three different versions of the capable X-MODE^® system, which allows you to tackle the steepest of inclines with even more confidence. On the standard version, the touchscreen functions control the operation of the VDC and X-MODE^® together. The Onyx trim level comes standard with dual-function X-MODE^®, which features even more capability in tough conditions. Meanwhile, the enhanced dual-function version, available exclusively on the Outback Wilderness trim level, has touchscreen controls that let you select between two different settings tailored to specific driving conditions—namely, snow/dirt and deep snow/mud, both of which are available even at higher speeds.

EyeSight^®Advanced Driver Assist System

This driver assistance technology has many functions to protect you. The system can alert you if it detects a potential danger and even brake if necessary. It gives you peace of mind when you’re behind the wheel.
