Quebec Subaru Dealer Association benefit golf tournament: a resounding, rousing success
27 August 2015
On August 20, Club de golf Le Fontainebleau in Blainville witnessed a touching demonstration of altruism as it hosted the 6th edition of the Quebec Subaru Dealer Association’s benefit golf tournament.
Agence Rinaldi, once again the event’s organizer, appointed Serge Laforest, president of Subaru Joliette, as honorary chairman of this 6th edition. Thanks to the event’s new format, participation grew considerably, from 80 to 120 golfers. The aim was to raise funds for this year’s chosen foundation, la Fondation les petits trésors de l’Hôpital Rivière-des-Prairies, whose word is dedicated to the cause of mental health of Quebec children and teenager.
Those in attendance were understandably thrilled by the announcement that, through their generosity, $66,000 had been raised for the Fondation. The result not only confirmed the immense success of this annual event, but greatly touched the Fondation’s representatives. Sylvie Lauzon, sponsor and CEO, and Sophie Prégent, also sponsor, were effusive: “It’s like a gift from above!”.
The event featured, namely: Shiro Ohta (President and CEO, Subaru Canada), Don Durst (Senior Vice-President, Subaru Canada), Richard Fabien (Director, Quebec and Atlantic regions, Subaru Canada), Serge Laforest (President of Subaru Joliette and honorary chairman of the tournament), Richard Beaudry (President, Ovation Médias), and Maurice Rinaldi (CEO, Agence Rinaldi).
